Thickness range differs by brand. Greenply's published Interior MDF range runs from 1.9mm to 30mm and Boilo up to 18mm — a wider ladder than what we currently list for Action Tesa. If you need an uncommon thickness, confirm Action Tesa stock in that exact gauge on 8460783619 before assuming it is available, rather than defaulting to the Greenply rate.
Why Is Action Tesa Consistently Cheaper?
The gap between the two brands widens as the grade gets more specialised — narrowest on Interior (₹4.25/sq ft at 18mm) and widest on Boilo (₹29.70/sq ft at 18mm). This is typical of how MDF brands price their premium, moisture-resistant lines: the base Interior grade is close to commodity pricing across brands, while the boiling-water-proof top grade carries more brand-specific pricing power.
Neither board is "the cheap one" in a negative sense — both Greenply and Action Tesa are established, IS 12406-marked manufacturers sold through organised dealer networks, including ours. The price difference reflects each brand's market positioning rather than a documented gap in board quality at the grades we stock.
