Delivery across the Gota belt

Delivery details

Distance from our counterRoughly 13–16 km
Delivery windowSame day
Order cutoffOrder by 2:00 PM
Delivery chargeWorked out by distance

Same-day dispatch on orders placed by 2 PM. The belt is spread out, so the charge differs between the Ranip end and Zundal or Bhadaj — it is calculated by distance and confirmed when you place the order. If you are ordering in parts, it is cheaper to consolidate: the charge is per trip, not per sheet.

Several of the newer buildings in Tragad and Zundal are not reliably placed on maps yet. A landmark or a nearby cross-road saves the driver a phone call and you a wait.

The areas we cover

Gota Cross Roads, Vandematram Circle, Chandlodia, Jagatpur, Vaishnodevi Circle, New Ranip, Tragad, Bhadaj and Zundal Circle.

It is one of the fastest-building belts in the city, mostly mid-segment flats and affordable schemes going up in blocks. There is a good deal of repeat work here — a carpenter or a builder finishing one unit and starting the next — which is why a fair share of what we send this way goes to resellers and trade rather than direct to families.

Getting durability for the money

This is a value belt and we will write about it plainly, because pretending otherwise helps nobody. Buying well here is not about spending less on everything — it is about knowing which three or four decisions actually determine whether furniture lasts, and not paying a premium on the rest.

Where it is worth spending

Where it is not

Do that and you get furniture that lasts as long as anything built in a more expensive part of the city, for meaningfully less. Do the opposite — economise on the sink unit, spend on the bedroom — and you get the worst of both.

Judging a sheet before you buy it

A reasonable question in this belt is how to tell whether what you are being offered is what you are paying for. A few checks that cost nothing:

Look at the edge. The core should be tight, with even layers and no visible gaps or hollows between them. Gaps in the core are where a sheet bends and where a screw loses its grip.

Check the weight. A properly made sheet of a given grade and thickness has a weight to it. A sheet that feels noticeably light for its size generally has a lighter, softer core than it should.

Check the face for flatness. Stand it up and sight along it. A sheet that has already taken a bow in a godown will not straighten once it is built into a wardrobe.

Read the grade marking, not the sales pitch. MR, BWR and BWP mean specific things about moisture resistance. If you want to know what actually separates them, we have written it out in the grade guide.

For resellers and vepari in this belt

A large part of what goes to Gota, Chandlodia and Ranip is trade rather than retail, and it is quoted differently.

Trade supply

Buying to resell, or buying repeatedly for a run of units, is not a counter-rate transaction.

  • Rate against volume — priced on what you actually take, quoted per enquiry rather than from a list.
  • Repeat supply against a standing specification, so reordering is one message rather than a fresh conversation.
  • Delivery to your shop or godown on the same 2 PM cutoff, consolidated to keep the distance charge down.
  • Consistent stock — the point of a supplier in this belt is that the fourth order looks like the first.

Cash or advance, the same as retail. Send your usual list on WhatsApp and we will price it against the quantity.

Cutting and banding

CNC cutting

From ₹800 per sheet, varying with the design. Send the drawing and we will confirm the rate before cutting.

2–3 day turnaround

CNC work takes two to three days. Order ahead of the day you need the panels on site.

Edge banding, in-house

Banding is done on our own machine, not sent out — so cut-to-size panels leave finished on all exposed edges.

Site delivery

Delivered to the address you give us. Charge is worked out by distance and confirmed when you place the order.

Gota and Chandlodia — questions

Yes — the whole belt including Gota, Vandematram, Chandlodia, Jagatpur, Vaishnodevi, New Ranip, Tragad, Bhadaj and Zundal, same day on a 2 PM cutoff. Some of the newer buildings in Tragad and Zundal are not accurately placed on maps yet, so give us a landmark or cross-road along with the address.
Rather than name the cheapest, we would put it differently: commercial grade is a legitimate choice for dry internal work where nothing carries real load, and MR grade is the right answer for wardrobes, beds and storage. What we would not recommend at any price is economising on the kitchen sink unit or a bathroom vanity — that is the one place where the saving comes back as a rebuild. Tell us your budget and what you are building and we will split it sensibly.
Look at the edge — the core should be tight and even, with no visible gaps or hollows between layers, because that is where a sheet bends and where screws lose grip. Feel the weight; a sheet that seems light for its size usually has a softer core than it should. Sight along the face for a bow, since a sheet already bent in a godown will not straighten inside a wardrobe. And read the grade marking rather than taking a verbal assurance.
Yes, and a large part of what we send into this belt is exactly that. You would be priced against the quantity you take rather than at counter rate, with delivery to your shop or godown on the 2 PM cutoff and reordering against a standing specification. Consolidating deliveries is worth doing — the distance charge is per trip, not per sheet. Terms are cash or advance.
No, and it is a common way to spend money for nothing. Thickness should follow the span and the load. A shelf holding books needs it; a wardrobe back panel, a drawer bottom or a carcass divider does not, and using a heavy board there adds cost and weight without adding usable life. Tell us what each part of the job is doing and we will tell you what thickness it actually calls for.

Order or visit

Tell us your budget as well as your requirement. It is a more useful conversation than being quoted the top of the range and working downward.
