What Is Textured Laminate?
Textured laminate is pressed against an embossed steel plate, so the surface carries a real three-dimensional pattern. The best woodgrain textures are registered (synchronised), meaning the raised pores follow the printed grain exactly. Brand codes vary: Cedarlam calls its textures EW, CC, CA and GP; IPL, Aroma, Phenolam and Durian list them as Texture or All Textures. Durian Romania also offers MR+ / HS+ high scratch grades at the same price as its textures.

Care and Buying Tips
Wipe along the texture with a damp cloth and mild soap. Use a soft brush now and then on deep textures, especially in kitchens. Match the edge band texture and colour. Registered woodgrain textures need grain direction planned across doors, so order all sheets together.
