What Is Fluted Laminate?
Fluted laminate is a decorative sheet pressed with a repeating pattern of raised ribs or grooves. It is lighter and much quicker to fit than CNC-routed fluted MDF, because it is simply glued onto plywood or MDF like any other laminate. Flutes can be fine (narrow, subtle ribs) or bold (wide ribs with deep shadow), in woodgrain, solid colour or stone-look designs. IPL, for example, lists a Dual Flute (DU) 3D fluted finish in its range.
